Comments:
Mooney drivers share a unique and deeply seated characteristic - they like to go fast! If a Cessna is akin to a Chevrolet and a Bonanza is akin to a Mercedes, then the Mooney is akin to a Porche. Mooneys are among the most effecient and structurally sound airplanes manufactured. The low profile cross-section and laminar flow wings reduce drag to enable the fast air speeds typically unachievable in other manufacturers' airplanes with similar horsepower. The tubular steel frame, acting as a cockpit roll cage, along with the wingtip-to-wingtip wing spar make the Mooney airframe the strongest and safest among GA airplanes.
The M20M TLS/Bravo was introduced in 1989 as part of Mooney's expansion of its model line. The TLS/Bravo design was quite different than previous Mooney designs. Larger aft cabin windows are the most obvious exterior change from the 231/252 models. The rear seat and aft bulkhead were moved back to provide more interior space while preserving basically the same baggage area.
Mooney has advertised its aircraft as personal airliners. The Bravo, equipped with known ice TKS, is as close to an airliner as a piston single can get. The turbo gives you flight planning options that a normally aspirated engine simply cannot. Combining the turbo performance with TKS allow flying missions that would be impossible in any of Mooney's competitors' aircraft.
This airplane has always been hangared and has always been maintained by an authorized Mooney Service Center. It is a remarkable airplane at a terrific price.
