What: The weekend is a fly-in for pilots with diabetes and without. Ideal as a stop-off on the way to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, inspiring talks will be given by pilots with diabetes, including a Beech Baron speed record to the North Pole, and a round-the-world flight. Historic aircraft from the Commemorative Air Force and Corvette Club cars will be on display, along with diabetes companies. Free accommodation will be provided for pilots with diabetes. Flying Heritage Collection SkyFair

What: The Flying Heritage Collection’s 1st Annual Air and Ground Show is July 26th! With an aircraft lineup including a B-25, Bf 109, Il-2, Zero, Spitfire, P-38, Corsair, Bearcat, Tigercat, SkyRaider, and more, it’s sure to be an exciting day! The Puget Sound Military Vehicles Collector’s Club and Flying Heritage Collection will also be demonstrating with military vehicles and tanks! The fair itself includes bouncy houses and a planetarium for kids, several food vendors, and the Route 66 band playing big band and swing music for the day! Also included in the festivities are three education opportunities—a talk by Steve Bertrand on his new book on the history of Paine Field, PC gaming, and a modelers club! What: The annual WomenVenture gathering, designed to encourage and inspire women in aviation and those who want to fly, will welcome hundreds of female aviators on Wednesday, July 30, during the annual EAA® AirVenture® OshkoshTM fly-in convention. EAA AirVenture 2014 will be held July 28-August 3 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wis. Co-sponsored by Women in Aviation International and The Ninety-Nines, two groups that encourage women’s aviation participation, WomenVenture moves to a midweek celebration in order to welcome more females currently involved in aviation or who want to be involved in the flying community.
